A day of a small reflection..

A friend of mine Christian told me about an orginization that he and his wife are involved in and I want to first off share that on here.. as it is amazing--www.myteamtriumph-wi.org. How we can impact others lives is such an important part of our being.. thanks for taking a look at this.

Well I woke up this morning with a memory from when I was a kid.. My birthday parties (as it is drawing near) The things I remember most about those are the cake and ice cream!!! (Go figure, FOOD) I have always been loved by my family and they have always made events meaningful; however, as most social events go there is more often than not food involved. Parties growing up usually had sloppy joes and chips with cake and ice cream (I would love to eat that on reg basis still, but can no longer do so LOL) I must say that most parties have AWESOME (yet calorie filled) goodies. Which does not always equate to a bad thing..but tons harder to watch what goes into our bodies when all the yummy stuff is there in front of us! Isnt it??
The point I am trying to make is that even this is another EMOTIONAL attachment to food that I have. The memory of times past have carried over into my normal everyday pattern. To make myself feel better in a group (which is uncomfortable if people are there that I do not know) I would eat constantly to make myself have "company" without having to make myself vulnerable to "real" company~ Strange as this may seem it has followed me throughout my life!!!!!~ I don't know if anyone reading this can relate.. but this is a profound learning tool that I have started to utilize.

MY DAY was super busy:

**First full day of bagging groceries. I actually enjoyed it. Really was interesting how much you can sweat just moving around for 4 full hours :)

**Then meet some school friends (psych class group) and reviewed some info for about 1.5 hrs and got to talk with Nick who is inspiring to be a body builder and he has been keeping me motivated. So when we were done studying we both went to our respective gyms :0)

**Gym workout--30mins STRONG workout.. I pushed and now tomorrow is workout with trainer and weigh in day.. Hoping for a weight loss but the great news is my jeans fit totally different than they use to!!!

I am thankful for this outlet .. If anyone has question or a topic they would like to know about from my perspective let me know...if you havent noticed I like to talk...

BE WELL, Becky
