I will start by giving you the background on me. I grew up in Upper Michigan in a small town. My family consisted of 4 people, dad, mom, sister and me. My dad and mom both worked and things were tight financially and like in most cases you buy what you can for groceries. Back then as well as now the less expensive foods are often not the most healthy. I do believe that food itself was not my main issue with food, it is the emotional attachment to food.

As I continue this blog I will continue to share my journey from where it began and where it is continuing as of today.. This is my first blog so please excuse any weirdness I may go through. It may seem at times random but I hope this will help others know me better and understand my passion for others who have the same struggles with health and weight (similar journey).
If anyone has question or comments please let me know!!
Here is what my day 4/25/2010 was like:
I made it to the GYM (REALLY didn't want to) I pushed through the allergy induced asthma (labored breathing) and went. I didn't feel like it but once I was there-stress release!!!! Once I was done I felt like a million bucks.. (which is often how it happens, not always but often) I even had to learn some new stretches as I had muscle tension in new areas.. what an interesting feeling! I feel like thats a good thing.. :0)
NUTRITION today was a good day.. amazing when you eat the right things HOW MUCH food can be eaten!
ME TIME: Spent time with a dear friend and realized that I am blessed to have so many who love and care about me and my well being--Love you guys! I also made me time by making my food and planning grocery list.
****DISCLAIMER: Most importantly through this process I want to be clear that I do not blame my family for my weight issues.. The circumstances are the reality and can shape outcome but I will not place blame.

We all come through life by different journeys that are sometime very similar. I know what it is to deal with family issues in ways that are not always health. From food to gambling I've been through it all. When we finally get to know ourselves, we learn how to deal with what life hands us. Good luck Becky, you are a very special strong lady who will suceed in anything you tackle.
